7th Annual Toys for Tots Team Roping & Dummy Roping Set for January 3rd in Torrington, WY

Torrington, Wyo. – January 3, 2026 – The roping community is saddling up once again for the 7th Annual Toys for Tots Team Roping, set for Saturday, January 3rd at the Goshen County Pavilion in Torrington, Wyoming. This holiday tradition combines top-notch roping competition with the joy of giving back.
Event Details
Entries open at 9:00 a.m. | Roping begins at 10:00 a.m.
#12.5 Handicap Drawpot – Enter 2x/$150 or 4x/$300, 4 head progressive after 1, Gist buckles to average winners.
#10.5 Handicap Roping – Pick 1 draw 1, or draw 2, 3 head progressive after 1, $150/man enter 3x, #6 Heeler Cap, Gist buckles to average winners.
Dummy Roping for Kids
This event will also feature Dummy Roping for youth 12 and under, with three age groups:
6 & under
7–9
10–12
Each age group winner will be awarded a Gist buckle. Dummy Roping will be held in between the #10.5 and #12.5 team ropings.
“This event is a highlight of the season, not only for the great competition but also for the impact it has on kids in our community,” said Cory Clark. “The addition of Dummy Roping is a fun way to get the next generation involved while keeping the focus on giving.”
Spectators are welcome, and admission is free. Because the roping has been postponed, we’ve already purchased the toys, which will be distributed before Christmas. So, there’s no need for you to bring a toy.
